Brace yourself for Who Killed J.R.?
On Nov. 23, actor Larry Hagman died after filming just five episodes of the second season of TNT’s Dallas. Writers immediately had to come up with a plausible way for his character, J.R. Ewing, to depart the show. What better way than to have him murdered?
Whether or not he is shot — again — is still open to conjecture.
“We all felt having J.R. die of natural causes would have been completely inappropriate, not only to the character, but also to Larry Hagman,” executive producer Cynthia Cidre told TV Guide....
