Did anyone watch The Amish tonight on PBS' American Experience? *Spoilers Warning*

Very interesting but I also found so profoundly sad. To be completely cut off from your very large extended family and asked not to come back because, IMO, it confuses the younger children. Also, "The Church" tells the parents not to allow the children back, no matter how old they are. I really felt for those kids saying that they have to forget about their past and just focus on the present, but those same kids are the first one's to drive all night to see their parents for 2 hours. They weren't even allowed in the house.

A couple of adults who left 25-30 years ago take the newly left one's in to help them transition. Not all of them do. One girl went back even after taking classes and getting her drivers license.

Just curious as to what everyone else thought of the program. Yes, it is two years old but it was new to me
