Survivor Cagayan - May 7 Episope Recap

Wow, another great episode, but really great because it is showing how bad these people play. Tony, playing as badly as he is, is going to walk away with this year's crown. No one can beat him at the end, and they all seem t want to take him to the end. I just do not understand how bad these people are at this game.

Great editing though. the show starts with Kass pissed off that Tony kept her in the dark again in voting out Jefra. Trish keeps on playing the Tony puppet and says she understands. I think she knows she is just a pawn and seems wiling to accept it. There are players like this most seasons who have no chance to win, but seem willing to help their friend win it all. She is clearly playing to help Tony win. There is a brief dust up when Kass overheard Tony calling her a bitch. Tony denies talking about her. Kass is not backing down from Tony and its tony who looks bad. If only Kass could learn to count, she probably could have won this game. But she never did.

The RC was a throwback. Throw sandbags to knock down a wall of blocks. Once down, one member from each team would have to build the other wall puzzle back up. Tasha and spencer were the builders. Tasha had a huge lead, but Spencer with Kass coaching, came from behind to win. The reward, cheeseburgers and hot dogs, along with a Survivor Ambassador - help the children event. The kids were adorable. Woo showed how amazing he is with kids. Then Kass and Spencer try to get Woo to join and oust Tony. Its clear Woo will not budge. He later says he will, but we knew he was not going to oust Tony. He is just too dumb to try to make a move.

The IC reminded me at the first season with the video cameras. Running to groups of items to count them and then enter it into a combination lock. Spencer wins in a close race with Tasha.

The, more bad play. Tasha throws in teh towel too clearly, tipping off Tony and letting him try to work it. The plan was for Tasha and Kass to vote for Trish, and to have Spencer and Woo vote for Tony. This would create a tie, so if Tony played his Idol, Trish would go home and the Idol would be flushed. If he didn't play his Idol, Tony would go home.

Kass then thinks its in her best interest to bring Tony to final to be like Russell Hantz. to bad he is really not that big of a dick, just a better player than you. Kass pulls Woo aside and suggests they vote for Tasha. Tribal was boring. More bag of tricks threats from Tony, more discussion of who goes home. It was Tasha.

Tasha, you played well, but could never seem to convince enough people to join you. In the end, you proved yourself to be a big treat, but not a leader. The biggest problem this year was there never was a leader.

1. Another great episode...

Kass is a dummy. Another person that thinks she controls the game but in reality is only being kept in because no-one will vote for at the final tribal.

Woo is as thick as a brick. But at least he know his own limitations and he stuck to his guns when he came back from reward and was grilled by Tony. If he'd have tried to tap-dance, or get into verbal word play with Tony the gig would have been up straight away. His reaction and interaction with the kids at the school though was amazing to watch. What a character!

Trish was a non-event in this episode.

I actually feel a little bad for Tasha, she was the only one that really seemed to be into the game, and have a true understanding of how it should be played, but she was always on the outside looking in.

Spencer. Meh. He can stick to his Romney worship. I hope he gets his clock cleaned.

Tony has this in the bag if he makes it to the final three. He has outplayed and outwitted everyone up to this point. They went to TC last night when he didn't have the immunity necklace, but he had TWO in the bag, and none of the other rocket scientists could flush EITHER one out....incredible...Next week is the last time either can be played so he could REALLY screw things up at TC if he wanted to...

It's going to get interesting...

3. What I don't get about Kass

is that she thinks "chaos" is a game strategy. What good does chaos do you if you have no clear alliance to do something with the chaos. I predict if she gets to the final 3, she gets no votes.

It will be interesting to see who Tony saves with his regular idol. We'll see if he is actually smart enough to know who to bring to the final 3.

2. The whole Russell Hantz comparison was stupid.

If they think that is their key to winning, they are going to sadly disappointed. Tony is the evil villain by default only. If anyone else actually played the game (OK, Spencer and Tasha tried but had obvious numbers problems), he would look like just another player. Hantz was a giant dick. Tony seems pretty likable, in a spazzy sort of way. And he does have a knack for reading people.

Unless they find some way to get him out going from 4 to 3, Tony wins this season.

4. Tony is playing the game to win

He is not throwing shoes in the ocean or dumping out rice like some others did. He is just playing the game. He never seems to hold a grudge and seems like a nice guy, just an overly agresive alpha. Had there been any good players this year, he would have been ousted a long time ago. But he wa sleft with being the best of a group of VERY bad players, so he is winning easily. You are right, the only way he is out is if he does not win that last IC and the others are smart enough to oust him.

To be honest, that would upset me. I think he should win. The only one I wanted to win ahead of him was Tasha, but she simply did nto play a good game because she could not control Kas when she had the votes to win. she got outplayed. tony deserves this. If Kas or Spencer pull out a miracle and survive to the final 3 without him, one of them will win and that would suck.

I could be wrong. She made one move and that was just to save her own ass. She did nothing to oust anyone along the way. People don't like that Tony was the reason they got voted out but they have to know he outplayed everyone. Though people really suck at playing this game so maybe they vote like idiots, too.

I would be OK with Spencer winning. He's tried but has had nothing but idiots to work with. Tony should win, though. He's the leader of a confederacy of dunces.

...if Tony didn't win and Kass/Spencer/Woo won I'd be pretty pissed off....Trish is the only one that at least has made some moves, and has been a very strategic player...I don't think she has the physicality to win a challenge though...she looked dreadful in the IC yesterday...very, very thin....

She couldn't stop shivering. She has lost way too much weight and didn't really have that much fat to give coming in.

How is the jury going to break? I think Tony put a lot of people there who didn't expect to be there.
