OK... don't laugh. I love this show. This is a re-tooled version of Tabithas Salon Takeover.
It starts tonight on Bravo.
Here is a story about her in the Advocate.

Tabatha Coffey has shocked and delighted TV viewers since she was voted fan favorite in 2007 on the hairdressing reality series Shear Genius. After that came her Bravo spin-off, Tabithas Salon Takeover, in which the no-nonsense lesbian entrepreneur helped the owners and staff of failing salons make a turnaround in only a week.
After a grueling year in which she nursed her mother through cancer and then eventually lost her, Coffey is back with season 4 of her show, only now its retooled and renamed. Tabatha Takes Over, which premieres tonight at 10 on Bravo, finds the blunt but captivating business owner taking her brutal honesty and tough love rehab not just to salons but to a variety of struggling businesses around the country, from a B&B to a frozen yogurt joint. Two such ventures are sure-to-be-queer California businesses she makes over: Ripples, an LGBT dance club in Long Beach, and Barkingham Palace, a West Hollywood doggy day care.

(41,832 posts)it's looked down on... but I watch a lot of reality tv.
Amazing Race, Survivor, Big Brother, and Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Is Househunters International considered reality? I watch that too. LOL

(53,955 posts)Kitchen Nightmares, Hoarders, Pawn Shop, Biggest Loser...so, I understand. There are several I just "don't get." But, to each his own. I used to watch house hunters international too. I like Curb Appeal: the Block with the hunky (and queer...so there's a chance) John Gidding! YUM!

I'm not religious on my HGTV shows, but so often there is just nothing on.

(201 posts)Not only is she a badass, I have learned quite a bit about how small business works. My wife thinks I am daffy but I like Tabatha's style.

(3,123 posts)To me, Tabitha is no-nonsense, in-your-face, dedicated and determined to reach out to help any business that's on the outs. I love her professionalism and she's the best example of showing the audience how a small business is supposed to run.

(12,132 posts)I usually see them on weekends when she watches before I take over the TV for football...Sometimes I get caught up in it and forget to change the channel.
I hope I never screw up a business badly enough to need her to come fix me - she's scary! On the other hand if my business was failing badly, I probably need her.
