Falling Skies & mooing Mechs

I just started watching this season, after not watching for the last 2 seasons. When did the Mechs, giant robot like things, stop mooing when they walked? It annoying in S1.

1. After this week's episode...

...I have pretty much given up watching. First seasons were pretty good, but now it has sunk into a morass of melancholy trivia.

Reminds me of "V" where there was endless talk of impending battle, but none ever materialized. Everything was talk, talk, talk about what was going to happen, but nothing ever actually happened. Falling Skies has sunk into the same sort of "we can't figure out what's going to happen, so we'll just wander around with trivia" kind of crap.

We have a Narnia kind of woo-wwo camp with a half human/half alien leader; we have a Nazi youth training camp; we have a group wandering around looking for the lost baby which is actually the half human/half alien leader of the woo-woo camp; and we have Noah Wylie wandering around doing God knows what but mustly fucking up everything he touches.
