Ah Joe. You were one of my favorites. A man great at the physical game, but not all that good at the strategy. He was never able to get a strong alliance together.
The episode started with Dan continuing to show what a jerk he is, in teaching the difference between a flip and blindside and attacking Shirin again. Keep kicking people who are down, it does wonders for your game. Shirin announces that she's voting for Mike in the finals, I guess to get him to want to keep her around. I don;t get her game either. Rodney tells the camera he's already won. The delusion on this tribe is funny.
Jenn wants to be voted out. She says she is no quitter, but that is coming soon I think. Shirin tells Mike she will join with him and vote Carolyn off. Mike seems to want to give her another fake name to write down as a test. Really Mike.
Challenge time. Its a swim obstacle courses and then a grappling hook to retrieve five floating rings. The winning team gets candy, and the Survivor commercial M&Ms, Dove and Snickers. It's a rough challenge and a few people have some brutal falls on a wooden slide into the water. It was close match, but Mike's team wins. Jenn shows her quitter attitude again and the foreshadow Joe's exit with his comment that he loves this and this is what he signed up for.
Mike apparently thinks a Snicker's bar is the greatest thing in the world. Back at camp, Rodney kills a chicken. Jenn doesn't like it. Rodney then does the first think I have liked. He does great impersonations of Mike and Dan. Funny stuff.
The IC was standing on your toes while keeping a block pressed against a board with your head. Joe does not win. that is about the only drama. The final three were Jenn, Mike and Tyler. Mike falls and maybe Jenn will win and keep Joe in the game. Nope, Tyler wins.
Shirin thinks she has a way to keep Joe. It fails. Joe makes a hidden idol and tries to convince Mike to let him stay in return for the idol. He gives it to Mike and Mike asks Probst if its a real idol. Probst says no dice, he will not confirm it is one, or not. Joe is sent home.
Well, Joe was a great physical player, but he could not play the game figuring out the numbers and alliances. Too bad, I liked you. But the season is a becoming one where a jerk will win. I hate that. please vote out Mike, Dan and Rodney!!!

(16,104 posts)Probst called her out, told her all she had to do was walk. She said that would be quitting, and she is not a quitter(?)
Was it Shirin who said Jenn would be ideal in the final since she didn't want to be there? The slacker won't fight for the money - she is perfect! Meanwhile, she fights in every challenge, and works on alliances.
Joe just got lost. He thought his only hope was to win every challenge. He was close! Handing Mike a fake immunity idol when Mike has a real immunity idol was just another bad move. He could have played groups, not left it all on the one who wants him gone the most.
Mike is looking real strong. I don't like him, but he has real strong game. But Jenn remains my favorite. I think she is playing another kind of game.

(4,851 posts)He scared them because he could win any week. Getting rid of his alliance and then him, was their plan. Jenn by herself is no threat and one side can bring her in. I suspect Mike or Rodney make a move against each other next.

(16,330 posts)to me, giving up the idol before the vote was a big clue that it wasn't real. Seems to me he would have tried to make them all think he would play the idol which would at least keep him from going home. He could have told Mike that the reason he wasn't using the last clue so much was because he already had an idol.
Joe was just too strong for them not to vote him out.

Here he is again, on the day after:

It's hard to know who to root for now...the guys are all jerks, except, maybe Tyler. We haven't really seen much of him. Shirin seems to think she's controlling the game. So does Rodney. So does Mike.
From the previews, it looks like Will goes off on one of the women next week.

(16,330 posts)There IS a reason I am at home watching on my comfy couch. It's not hard to know why.

(30,717 posts)I really don't like Mike. I hope he goes, but get rid of Dan and Rodney first.
I think they will go after Tyler, if they can. He is not like the other guys. They don't like anyone who is stronger, or different.

(30,717 posts)Of course she is female, but she is just as unlikeable as that group of guys.
I am having a hard time with Survivor this season. I don't like most of the people, and I don't see a clear winner.

(22,340 posts)Seemed like she was trying to get a rift in the Blue tribe. Can't let Mike make it to the final if he's already getting votes.
Hated to see Joe go. I hope they just didn't give us him trying to play the game.
