Hey fellow DU Survivor fans. I hope you are all well.
Tomorrow night, September 23, 2015, Survivor - Second Chance will air. I have mixed feelings about this season. I normally do not like when they brign back former players, but the difference here is that its not former players and new players. Its all former players, sort of like All Stars (which I loved) and Heros v. Villians (which I liked as well). So I think I will like the idea, but lets hope the players all really went in for this.
Its 20 contestants, so unless we have a very fast double eviction in the first episode, we have to have a few short or double evictions later to get on track for 39 days.
I also just found out that this one is the first time they are airing seasons out of order. They filmed a new season of all new contestants in Cambodia first, while th last season was on the air. then when the finale aired, they picked the rest of the all star cast and headed out to the same location in Cambodia to air this season.
I had some thoughts on this. I am sure that if there was a dominating player that they thought would be well liked but not win in that Cambodia Season, they would have asked them to stay for the next season. Unless the person was injured or unable to continue for another 39 days. My guess os that there was no such player in the Cambodia season. So they launched the all star second chance season next, and left the other in the can for January.

Its a great group though. Looking forward to it. Please someone post a thread each week about it. We can all talk about it. I often watch a day or so late, but I will try to comment when I can.

(1,945 posts)Lol, we have been counting down the Wednesdays until it starts. I have mixed feelings about that but have to confess that I'm excited it's here. (Survivor is a guilty pleasure for me. I used to make fun of my husband for watching such 'garbage' and then I got sucked in)
It will be interesting to see who gets booted earliest--the most disliked ones or the more talented, ie better athletically, more liked so potentially more threatening.
My heart still belongs to Joe, but I suspect he will be on the block early as a threat, unless he gets himself into a good alliance. I liked Spencer when he was on. I wonder how he will feel playing with Kass again. Their alliance held pretty well but she did throw him over finally. She is one I don't like, plus Abi-Maria and Keith. Not looking forward to his spitting every 5 minutes.

Hope Joe hangs around for a while!
