I would like to know why our death rate is so high second only to Calif at this time even though our daily cases is lower than many. That's according to the NYT charts.

3. Arizona's weekly numbers are skewed older

You need to dig into the charts further down to see the actual weekly numbers - most of the "new cases" are older ones being backfilled into the total.
For this week, the new cases for the past week are only 1936, and the deaths are only 7!

HOWEVER, the numbers are being revised weekly - last week was only showing 8 deaths between 3/20-27 - now the chart is showing 40. So the numbers will go up as more reporting comes in the coming weeks.

I'm glad you found the numbers you did though. It makes me feel better. I just don't understand why the data is so inconsistent from one site to another.

Virtually NO ONE wears a protective mask.

The state appears to be wide-open for another viral wave of infections. Hang on to your hats. Arizona is likely in for a wild ride when the next wave hits.
