If they want to do a hand recount to verify the machine count, then knock yourselves out. We just need to have our people in place to ensure no funny business happens.

If they do a hand recount instead of the machine count, or if they expect other people to pay for the hand recount.

But hell, with foreign actors and right wingers looking to infiltrate our voting system, I think its okay if people want to verify the machines are working. I certainly would have liked to have that option when GWB won Ohio in 2004.

Az State law does not allow it until after an election results are announced and then under very specific circumstances like if the results are within an extremely narrow range of less than or equal to one half of one percent. I understand Cochise County wants to do a hand count immediately before reporting results and regardless of the margin they are merely trying to create chaos. There will be lawsuits.

COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN) — Following an hour-long discussion, the Cochise County Board of Supervisors decided to move forward in responding to Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs.

The board sent a response to Hobbs, stating that Cochise County plans to follow all state laws during the election. They clarified that this means they will not complete a full hand count of every item on the ballot.
