Hey, Arizonans, does anyone have any suggestions on what to do & good places to eat?

Last edited Thu Dec 15, 2022, 06:26 PM - Edit history (1)

I just found out my friend got tickets to the Fiesta Bowl (GO BLUE!) but we're going to be there from December 27 to January 1. So I was wondering if you had any suggestions on good places to visit. I've been to the Grand Canyon and Sedona, so I'd like to know if there are any other cool places to visit. Also, any restaurant recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks so much!

It's down between Sierra Vista and Bisbee.
In Phoenix, the Desert Botanical Garden is beautiful this time of year - they have Chihuly sculptures and lights. It's gorgeous at night.
As far as dining - Pizzeria Bianco has the best pizza in the country (seriously). But it is also tiny and the wait to get in is usually hours.
Barrio Cafe has great higher-end Mexican food and it's chef/owner is a major Democratic supporter in the state.

If you are into art galleries. Old Town Scottsdale has a gallery district.

it would help to know interests, where staying, how far/long you are willing to travel. touristy stuff, serious interests, food styles, urban, wilderness/nature, art, museums, shopping, cultural experiences....

Fast food, but some of the best Mexican food around. Locations all over. Most are open 24 hrs.

Cool little town not far from Sedona.

Haunted Hamburger is a great place to grab lunch.

Owned by Maynard Keenan, lead singer of Tool.
