Red Light photo enforcement ticket

So I got a red light photo enforcement ticket and it was for $335, Tanque Verde and Grant, in Tucson. This seems incredibly high to me and based on looking at fine amounts for traffic violations, it's a higher fine than I should get for a red light violation. I've looking online for fine amounts for red light running and can't find an official government site explaining fine amounts for violations, which seems odd. Where should I look for verification of my fine amount?

Strangely enough I also don't remember the incident very well. I was making a left hand turn from Grant to Tanque Verde. I think it may have been the case where I was in the turn lane and expecting a green arrow and it didn't come, but I was committed to the turn anyway. Has anyone heard of the light at Grant and Tanque Verde not giving drivers a green arrow?

And the ticket camera company takes a cut of all fines brought in by the camera.

It's an outright scam.

See if what you think might have happened does in fact happen, and document it if it does.

Are they timed lights, or sensor driven? It is possible to hit road sensors and not trigger them, but it's rare, so good luck proving it happened to you that time.

However, really it does boil down the first rule of intersections. DO NOT ENTER, unless there is a path to safely leave. If you let yourself get caught in no mans land, you almost certainly only have yourself to blame.

The fine should be about $500.00 total. If you can. do community service even if you hear the judge give others $100.00 and traffic school for the same violation. It happened to me a few years back. They showed a video to us, and also allowed others to be let in after 9:00 am. Needless to say, I didn't pay attention to the video. The video says something about being able to still be fined 4 or 5 times the amount the judge says.

I wait for the bailiff to come back and give me my paperwork, and it says the fine is $500.00. Then she tells me it was in the video. It's a scam. Do the community service if at ALL possible. Once you accept traffic school and the $100.00, it's too late for the community service. No do overs with the judge.
