How soon should I put applications out??

I will be heading back to Tucson on OCT.5th.

What time is good to start putting out applications online??

I don't want them to start calling while I am still stuck here, but I want to get a head start none the less.

Then I am going to have the problem of the holiday help. I need a full time not a temp.

Any suggestions?

P.S: Anyone see any of the T.V. Stations needing Studio help?

Oh, and for those in Tucson hunting a job, I would NOT suggest using the Sullivan-Jackson program. It is good for those that have not really had a job, have little experience in anything, just released from jail, a 18 year old that was just released, etc.

For those that are tech savvy, have a resume, and know how to dress and act on an interview and need a job sooner than 3 month, not a good fit.

ADD) What I found as the problem was that the only had 5 computer for 100 people and you could only use them if you show you had to REALLY do an online application and do it between 12 and 1 only. They also used the phone to demand (if you read the scrip they give there people you would see what I mean) to talk with the boss. You do not have an application in with the business at this time and are trying to pin them down for an interview anyway. The times they have you call is when the businesses are busy and as a hiring manager once upon at time that would be a good way to get nothing.

And you MUST have 3 bosses names and him/her saying yes we have a job opening before you can leave the building to fill out an application. However many get there and they are told that it is done online and they run the risk of getting thrown out of the program and the homeless shelter they are in for not getting a paper application.

You see, roughly 70 percent of their clients are homeless. just out of jail or high school drop out that never got their GED. The other part are people that are just needing some sort of help to find a job. But they get looped into this instead of Onestop.

I was supposed to go to Onestop instead, but living in the Salvation Army at the time I was told that this would be better. I could have done better with the Onestop.

So be careful where you go for job hunting assistance.

You didn't share any details like what kind of job you were looking for or what your qualifications/experiences were. It came off more like "What should I wear to the ball?"

in the Tucson area. I remember that my SO was getting them on week 1 of the hunt. But he was also a former Marine and that carries some weight with employers.

I on the other hand have a B.A. in Communication, emphasis in T.V. News Production. So I am looking for anything, even Dog Walker.

Oh... that would be fun!

you might be able to find something related to the roll out of ObamaCare in Arizona. Jan Brewer was a hard advocate for getting the state ready and accepting the Medicaid funding. There might be some marketing/public service announcement work available.
