Why Arizona teachers may not get a paycheck

This on top of Ducey's whopping 0.4% raise proposal (for 5 years for a total of 2%) and the President of the AZ Chamber of Commerce calling teachers crybabies for wanting higher salaries. Go ahead, insult us again.

Why Arizona teachers may not get a paycheck

"The Arizona Department of Education is warning that teachers won't get their paychecks and billions of dollars in government aid could be at risk unless the governor gives officials the money they are requesting.

The budget battle centers on a database system that tracks and distributes over $6 billion in federal and state education funds.

Department officials said they need $17 million to keep the system up and running, but Gov. Doug Ducey is proposing nothing. "

No one should work for free.
