tRump to Appear in Mesa, AZ this Friday---Man-Baby Balloons, Anyone?

Last edited Wed Oct 17, 2018, 09:36 AM - Edit history (1)

From the desk of: The American M.O.B (Majority Opinion Blowback)

"My American M.O.B. over your GOP-Russian Mob any day, any time...let's roll!"

Date & Time of tRump Circus Show: Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, 4 p.m.

Location: International Air Response (see end of article for more info. about these douchebags)

Address: 6250 South Taxiway Circle, Mesa, AZ 85212 (at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport)

Should you wish to go and become the next heroic Plaid Shirt Guy (or Gal), you can get tickets (maximum 2) from https://www.donaldjtrump.com/rallies/az-oct-2018 where you have to give up a name (whatever), an email address (just create a new one that you can delete later) and a mobile phone number (might be worth picking up a burner phone for).

Not sure what the set-up is going to be on this one since the crybaby fake-prez is too scared to veer too far off a tarmac after protesters outnumbered tRumpettes by about 15,000 the last time he dared to show his face in Phoenix. Looks like this is going to instead be another chickenshit hide-in-the-hangar ordeal, which he'll then proclaim to be some kind of Lyin' McSally Rally.

Personally, I think it would be hilarious if we packed the audience with people who just stood there, arms crossed, with stern looks on our faces. One thing to keep in mind is that this tired, old repeat episode of tRump flailing his arms around is going to occur at a place of business whose owners (see below) can be held personally liable if they allow or encourage Rethuglicans to lay hands on peaceful, but frowning, silent observers inside their hangar.

Note to anyone who does go and is made to leave: Get yourself in front of a TV camera, say you're an R (local media here will only talk to you if you tell them you're an R), and tell the newsperson that you just decided to vote straight-D because they kicked you out for not clapping hard enough.

Background of Where tRump is Appearing

On top of the fact that every venue in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale, and Peoria told tRump's team, "Sorry, already booked up" (even though they aren't, ha!), tRump handlers were desperate to put him somewhere, anywhere in the Phoenix area, but specifically someplace where he would least likely piss his diaper at the sight of protesters.

To that end, they of course chose Mesa, home of Arizona's biggest Mormon temple and largest Latter-Day Saints (LDS) population. Now, before anyone gets their panties all in a twist, I am NOT bashing the tenets of anyone's religion. I'm simply stating the political reality here in Arizona, which is itself intricately entwined with religion---Mormons are tRump's biggest fanbase in Maricopa County.

But don't take my word for it; just ask U.S. Congressman Andy Biggs, LDS leader and privileged white millionaire, who has anointed himself as tRump's #1 head cheerleader. Yeah, that guy...Biggs is the cruel and downright sinister former prez of the AZ Senate who has wasted nearly all of his first stint in Congress by:

1.) sponsoring House legislation to shut down the Mueller investigation,

2.) using his position on the House Judiciary committee to hysterically call for "But her emails!" investigations,

3.) using his chairmanship of the House Subcommittee on Environment to proclaim that climate change is a hoax (and he knows this because he says, no joke, that he's "smarter than Einstein"---yeah, right),

4.) calling for the abolition of the Department of Education while advocating for charter-school voucher systems (from which he personally profits), and

5.) demanding censure of Congresswoman Maxine Waters because, well, face it, Andy's kind has a very l-o-o-o-ng history of chest thumping at black folk, especially strong black women, who they hold in particular contempt.

You see where this is going, right? Where do you suppose tRump is showing up this Friday? You got it, smart ones: the gerrymandered East Valley district (CD5) of none other than Andy Biggs, who the fake-prez owes bigly for his comical, but creepily totalitarian, goose-stepping in the halls of Congress.

Interesting that tRump is too scared to appear in McSally's district where migrant children are being held in dog cages, even though this "rally" is supposedly for her. Yet, the scared little man-baby will only show his face in Biggs' completely "safe" district, one that cash-rich Andy doesn't need any help at all to buy, er, "win" again.

You see, CD 5 is a district whose lines were specifically redrawn to cobble together portions of cities that make up the suburban sprawl east of Phoenix. The district's new lines were expanded a few years back to reach into only very specific neighborhoods of adjacent towns, which is why its western and northern edges are jagged lines. Thus, it became a district that has since magically delivered the largest congregated group of voters of a certain religion---who always vote like good little sheeple as their deacons tell them to---a guaranteed win for any Rethuglican nominee of that same religion.

What happened with Biggs is that his own colleagues in the AZ legislature cut a deal with him to get him to leave the AZ statehouse. (You know it's bad when even the Rethuglicans couldn't take the heat of this guy's toxic bullshit anymore.) They agreed to install him as CD 5's rep in Washington, but of course he would have to give up the state senate for that.

Because Biggs is just as big a narcissist as tRump (but with decidedly deeper Machiavellian tendencies), who also has bigly aspirations of someday becoming U.S. Prez himself, the AZ legislators knew he wouldn't be able to resist such an offer. Bye-bye Phoenix. Hello D.C.

Now Biggs is on the road to what he believes is his preordained destiny at the Oval Office big desk. And the man-baby currently there hasn't a clue what Biggs is actually up to. How easily the ding-a-ling got rope-a-doped into coming to Biggs' district rather than McSally's! What an idiot.

Sleazebag Backers of tRump's Friday Shitshow

The location of this week's circus act will not be in the heart of Mesa. In an effort to discourage dissenters from showing up, they're sticking tRump w-a-a-a-y out at the farthest edge of Biggs' district: specifically, at the small, regional Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport where suburbia meets desert. For those of you not familiar with the East Valley, this is the same area in which ASU-East is located, out near Power & Ray Rds.

More precisely, tRump will not be at the airport terminal, but rather at the private business hangar of governmental contractor International Air Response (6250 South Taxiway Circle, Mesa, AZ 85212).

Yes, folks, this is the exact same business location from which CEO Bill Grantham helped to hurl orange vomit on America by trotting out the man-baby here in his 2015 run-up to Russian-assisted theft. Perhaps some journalist at the Arizona Republic will look into the sweetheart government contracts Grantham's gotten since then, including with NASA.
Nah, that'll never happen…International Air Response's VP & COO Travis Grantham works an additional day job as Rethuglican State House Representative.

Grantham is the third leg of a "Devil's Triangle" drinking game with fellow Rethuglican seat-warmers Eddie Farnsworth and Warren Petersen. That LDS political trio will make damn sure the newspaper keeps its mouth shut about any grift going on. But, maybe New Times will have an interest in peeking behind that curtain…

Based on the stupid-ass conspiracy theories and misogynist comments that Travis Grantham regularly espouses, coupled with his bromance attachment to right-wingnut extremist Mark Levin, I'm starting to think the Grantham family might be related to the Biggs family, or at least attending the same church services.

What I really wonder about, though, is another aspect of the Grantham business: How many of the Hollywood decisionmakers who are leasing airplanes from International Air Response for their films know just how far up tRump's ass the Granthams are? Interesting that these guys are more than willing to take boatloads of money from the very people they consistently ridicule. But, of course, that's LDS Rethuglican gospel, right?

See you at the circus, folks!

Don't let it get you down, Mr. Lebowski. He's a fool, you're not.

If you're not working on Friday, you might just find it cathartic to get yourself a ticket, drive down the road to that hangar, stand there in that audience with your arms crossed, and stare him down with consternation.

I don't know if you remember hearing of Jeff Flake's last-ever town hall, also held in Mesa. There were several thousand people there and it was a bruising take-down of him, to be sure. I went and, instead of sitting in one of the seats, I stood up front videotaping him almost the whole time---2 1/2 hours. For some reason, probably the awareness of being taped, he kept looking over at me. Every time he did that, I would lock eyes with him and shake my head like a mother expressing extreme disappointment to an errant child. And I could tell it rattled him, which is why it was so amazing that he continued to look over at me throughout, like he couldn't help himself.

When I watched that footage later, the thing that struck me the most was the linear change in his expression each time he looked directly at me, when I would hold his gaze for a moment, shaking my head, before he would finally look away. I cut out each of those instances from the footage and spliced them together chronologically. The playback is fascinating: It starts out, of course, with that fake smile, but then progressively becomes more troubled each time, until the last frame where he looks downright sorrowful and even apologetic.

Everyone I've shown that video to says the same thing: It's like watching him, in the moment, making the decision to not run again. Of course, this is exactly what ended up happening.

Anyway, I realize this thing with Trump is not the same, of course. However, I'm a firm believer in "thoughts are things." If you have the opportunity to lock eyes with someone and send out whatever thoughts you have about them, it can be powerful. More importantly, it can be empowering for yourself and may very well be the best birthday present you could ever give yourself.

Again, happy birthday. Things will get better.

It's not a bad idea going down there, on paper, but ... on 2nd thought, purposefully being in the presence of Dotard on MY birthday ... is NOT happening.

I'd likely get thrown out (if not arrested) for uncontrollably yelling out obscenities at him the entire time ... and jail on your birthday is particularly sucky

Yeah, definitely don't go if you know it would end up in a behind-bars situation.

I've heard people do get paid to go to these shindigs. With this one, it's not really that big of a space. Found a time-lapse video of people in the hangar from tRump's visit in 2015. Should give you an idea:

I understand it's mandatory for IAR's employees to be there (they'll still be on-the-clock at the time it occurs), so I guess that's some of the paid audience right there.
