In praise of Tom Cotton and his thoughts on relief for struggling Americans

Any coronavirus relief bill passed by Congress should:

?

Stop the presses. Sen. Tom Cotton continues to make sense and sound empathetic toward the less fortunate in his contribution to relief measures in the time of coronavirus.

The Tweet above is a summary of a longer essay on shortcomings he sees in the House bill worked out by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Steve Mnuchin and his ideas for a way to speed aid more simply and quickly to people who need it.

I have no explanation for our boy Tom acting all reasonable and stuff. It can't last.

I'd start with an EKG to verify he has a heart. A brain CT would be a good idea - it might answer a host of questions. (No, I am not a fan of the war mongering Trump sycophant.)

I suppose that as long as tests are being done, one for Covid-19 would be a good idea.

I worked on two of David Pryor Senate campaigns in the ‘70’s & 80’s and In my opinion Dale Bumpers is one of the greatest leaders and examples of integrity that I have ever seen. But those were the days that you could never be elected to any office in Arkansas unless you were a democrat.

The system has flipped. No one can be elected in a state-wide or even congressional district race unless a Republican.

Pardon my cynicism but I just don't believe the GOP is capable of any genuine caring and concern.
