Question for Arkansians: What's your gut feeling on how well the Con's support is faring in AR?

Reason why i ask is weekend before last hubby & i just visited his parents who retired to a farm an hour north of Little Rock (they're 2 liberal doctors, not farmers, but raise horses). I had expected to see lots of pro-trump signs along the way, but surprisingly did not see even one, contrary to 2016 when there were lots.

1. I spent years in Little Rock a while back and the democratic party in Arkansas been in

disarray since the Clinton years, BUT a wave election could see a turn around, As far as I know the national democratic party not putting monies into Arkansas and that is a mistake

That Tom Cotton has got to go! To me part of the problem is Little Rock seems to be the only major city in AR, and from what the inlaws tell me, there are lots of liberals there. The rest of AR is heavily rural, & sadly RW.

8. Not true. NW Arkansas, Fayetteville in particular, is heavily liberal.

My neighborhood is the historic district and 90% have either a Biden sign or flag in front of their houses.

2. Spent a few weeks in Harrison AR a few months back...

Driving on a major road through town, I spotted a billboard...so jolting I had to turn around and take picture of it. I was like "what tha fuuuu???".

Sometime after we got home I saw this video (below). Wow.

Being white and older, we experienced nothing but politeness and smiles. We commented to each other that Harrison would be a nice place to live. Boy, were we wrong. One big hint should have been the fact that we saw only 2 or 3 POC during our entire stay.

very sad but that is reality. While driving thru Waco here in TX we saw a billboard that said "God bless President Trump" with a halo-like effect around him. Made me sick to my stomach. As i always say, can't fix stupid

5. I'm not getting out much lately, but I haven't seen many yard signs for either candidate.

Little Rock and NW Arkansas seem to be the liberal hot spots in the state. It is mostly rural with few large population centers. Lots of churches with Baptists and Evangelicals being dominant.

Being a blue dot in a red sea, I don't talk politics with very many people so I can't really say what the enthusiasm level is for Trump right now.

6. Probably the only state with an assassinated party leader

Bill Gwatney (August 26, 1959 – August 13, 2008) was an American politician who served as the State Chair of the Democratic Party of Arkansas. He had previously served as a State Senator for ten years and as the financial chair of Mike Beebe's campaign for Governor of Arkansas in 2006. Gwatney was selected as a superdelegate at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, but was assassinated before the convention.

Death
On August 13, 2008, Gwatney was killed by Timothy Dale Johnson, who entered Democratic Party headquarters in Little Rock, Arkansas and shot Gwatney three times. Gwatney was taken to a hospital, but died later that day.

The gunman had said he wanted to speak with Gwatney about volunteering, but sidestepped his assistant when she said he was busy. After the shooting, the gunman fled the scene in his truck and led police on a 30-mile (48 km) chase out of Little Rock. Johnson was killed by police after a PIT maneuver forced him off the road into a field near Sheridan. No motive was discovered, except Johnson quitting his job at a Target retail store earlier that day.
