Proposition 64

This heartbreak occurred in 2010 but is just coming out now because of the California proposition to make cannabis legal. Election year politics.

This is sickening.
Absolutely the worst kind of anti-cannabis propaganda. What kind of newsroom takes advantage of a tragedy like this? Rightwing KFMB San Diego that's who.

Finding THC metabolites in urine or blood is NOT an indicator of impairment. Also note that the grieving mother claimed the driver didn't remember what was going on 2 days before, and 2 weeks after, the accident insinuating cannabis caused that. I call bullshit.

concerning cannabis? Is there a test that can achieve an accurate result at time of testing?

What should be done to keep drivers from driving under the influence of cannabis?

I have heard and read from people who swear they drive better under the influence of cannabis.

I drive the streets, roads and highways of California.

Is proof that driving under the influence of cannabis is worse than while driving in a "normal" state of mind.

IMHO

Driving reckless and too fast (alcohol), or driving too slow (weed).

I got pulled over for driving while high about 30 yrs ago. I thought I was doing 50 mph, the cop said I was doing 15 mph in a 35 zone. He followed me home, and laughed his ass off wishing me a good night. "Now go eat cookies and go to bed, dammit!" That was my one and only time driving while high. The cop was pretty cool about the whole thing, and I got lucky.

Usually, most people after getting high don't want to drive. We all know perception gets distorted, and quite frankly, there's a touch of paranoia which will keep (most) marijuana smokers away from the steering wheel. They are just too mellow to worry about driving and staying alert.
