8 taken into custody during Milo Yiannopoulos visit to Cal State Fullerton, with 1 ending up in jail
FULLERTON – Cal State Fullerton officials said on Wednesday. Nov. 1 that the night before eight people were taken into custody outside the Titan Student Union where conservative Milo Yiannopoulos spoke to a sold-out crowd.
One was arrested and booked, two were given citations, and the other five were ordered to stay away from the campus.
A 24-year-old woman who had a knife and used pepper spray on other demonstrators was the one arrested and booked, said Cal State Fullerton police Capt. Scot Willey.
She is not a student at the university and was with a group of protesters but also got into an altercation with them, he said.
