A lone bell in the San Francisco night

Last edited Sun Apr 12, 2020, 03:00 AM - Edit history (1)

It's a misty, foggy cool San Francisco night. A light rain is falling. The city lights are reflecting a dull grey glow up onto the overcast sky. The streets are empty; the city is deserted.

Somewhere off in the hills, a lone church bell is ringing. It's 9:30 at night. I go up to the roof to soak it all in.

The bell punctuates the night, ringing out for the dead, the dying, and those who help them. The bell also carries a message of hope, linking all it reaches.

I completely concur. Northern California adopted me over 33 years ago, in August & the warmth & beauty of the people & the hills, rivers, lakes, Mountains & rugged coasts of this part of California has always enchanted me & made feel grateful & blessed to live here. Happy Easter & may you stay blessed...AND healthy. We'll get through this $h!tShow & come out the other side stronger & determined than ever before.
