March and visit to Congressman Costa's office
Congress convenes and starts debating military intervention in Syria. Let's send Congressman Costa a special message. We will meet at Courthouse Park near Tulare & L St. and march two blocks to the United Security Bank building where Jim Costa's office is located. After expressing our opposition to any support for bombing Syria we will march back to the park. Organized by "No War on Syria-Fresno."

We will rally on Sunday September 8th, the day before the U.S. congress returns from recess on Monday September 9th to debate military intervention in Syria. The event will take place at 2 PM at the intersection of Highland and Hollywood. There is a metrolink station at this location. Parking may be a challenge, so starting at Pershing Square and taking the metro red line may be preferable, and will only take a few minutes.

INTENT:
We are peacefully protesting the escalation of US military involvement in Syria, as well as the complete disregard of the will of the American people in the decision to begin a new war. We in no way support the actions of the Assad regime, but are convinced that US intervention will instigate more violence and suffering.
To SHARE media from the rally or follow the event, please use the hashtag #laststandLA.

No War With Syria is a wonderful grassroots movement that happened overnight. These are nonpartisan, people powered gatherings. We invite everyone to join us and request that any organizations that stand in solidarity with us, respect this people powered space by not dominating with their own narrative. We strive to elevate the voices of Syrians, military personnel, veterans and those who will be most impacted by a military strike in Syria. This movement was built by people like you, trying to make a difference. Everyone's voice matters to us, so feel no hesitation to contact the hosts with your ideas, concerns, or insights!
