Hey, there's that big raging fire in Yosemite, but today one broke out in the East bay near Clayton on Mt. Diablo, didn't see anything about it here, but I took a couple pics of it:

1. So that's what all the smoke is about.

I could see it clearly from I-5 but had no clue how far west it was.

I lived in Walnut Creek when Diablo caught fire about thirty-five years ago and wiped out a lot of rare vegetation on the mountain. Here's hoping the get it under control quickly

6. Just saw it as I was exiting 80 west to 680 south

Looked like the whole ridge line was on fire. Lots of flames visible from 25 miles away.

Of course, it is pitch black out there...
