Santa Cruz

I'll be visiting for a few days at the end of the month. Staying up in Scott's Valley in the trees. I'd love to find a little cottage or cabin to rent for a whole month but not having much luck. I honestly can't cough up $3K+ for a rental...

Along highway 9, nearby but cheaper. Do you have a car or other transportation?

But it's not ready to rent quite yet.

Do you need to be nearer to Scott's Valley?

Aptos and Soquel are great too. I just love that part of CA. I want to take, eventually, a month-long break from Los Angeles. For my sanity, lol. I love the mountains and the sea. Used to visit Santa Cruz back in the 1980s...

So does Monterey. There are also two lighthouse hostels north of Santa Cruz.

I'm 50 and need lots of space! That's partly why I want to get out of L.A. Hard enough living with the boyfriend, sometimes, lol! I'm a quiet, introvert, and sharing my space is not easy

you want to cook. Used to be a lot of state run camping grounds had those kind of accommodations. I'm sure there is plenty of of information on line.

Something will fall into place someday, I'll keep at it. I need breaks from the big city and the heat especially. I'm a NorCal girl at heart I think. I lived for two years in the Trinity mountains up by Hyampom in the '70s and fell in love.
