Looking for housing in Denver.

I posted back in November asking where I could look for housing in Denver other than craigslist. Since then, my situation has changed from dreaming about new housing to needing new housing. I've been given three months to move out of here. So I have a little time to find something decent, but OMG, the pickings are slim! I've been trying craigslist and thebackpage, but it's pretty grim out there.

Anyone know anyone with a room in a house? I'm 51, gainfully employed, in grad school, have a sweet old 65-lb. dog. Can afford about $700/mo. if utilities are included, $750 if by DU, $600-$650 if not by DU and no utilities included. Any leads appreciated!

So I took a look using zillow and selecting "For rent" in the filter. If I choose <700 $ only 7 show up. Upping that to 800 gives 38 choices. mainly 1 br appartments.

I thought it was strictly for selling homes. Thanks for the lead!
