Hey there from MA you CT People! ......

Did anyone grow up in New Haven in the mid forties thru the early fifties? I was born there and lived there until was aprox. five or so years old.

The reason I ask is that I am working on my family tree and wonder if you may perhaps know of two restaurant/Bar establishments from back in that time frame. The first one was a eatery called The Biltmore and the other was a Bar called Jacks Tavern.

I have a picture of my mother & her cousin and on the back it says Biltmore Restaurant.

I have another picture of myself and on the back it says Apartment over Jacks Tavern.

I think maybe Jack's tavern might refer to a tavern owned by Jack (family or family friend) that had another name.
