The Democratic State Committee has decided it doesn't need democracy

There's a pretty good rundown of events here. Members of the DC Democratic State Committee decided last year, in violation of their bylaws, that they would suspend the election for committee members that are required every four years. After suspending elections, members stayed in power past the expiration of their term, voted to appoint their Chair, Anita Bonds, to the city council, and have donated DSC money to her.

I should note that there are good members of the DSC that are outraged over this, but they are unfortunately a small minority.

They're acting just like CONGRESS does when it comes to matters concerning the District!!!

My first question is "What are they afraid of?"
