D.C. police are responding to a report of an active shooter on the campus of Howard University.
Law enforcement arrived at the college, located on Georgia Avenue NW, around 12:21 p.m., according to a Metropolitan Police Department tweet, which says no active shooter has been confirmed yet but warning people in the area to "take precautions."
We're on the scene @HowardU for the report of an active shooter. So far nothing confirmed. Take precautions if in the area.

Armed Person Reported On Howard University’s Campus
There are reports of an armed person throughout the campus, according to a mass text from the Department of Public Safety. Students have been advised to shelter in place while police investigate.
