Related: About this forumCherry blossom buds are puffy white, around 4 to 6 days from peak.
The buds on Washington, D.C.s famed cherry trees today reached their final stage before bursting and reaching peak bloom.
The National Park Service declared the buds are puffy white, which on average signifies peak bloom is just 4-6 days away. If this year is like most others, peak bloom will be achieved between April 11-13 or Friday to Sunday this week. (Our original peak bloom forecast for April 7 to 11, which was later revised to April 11-15)
