Anyone know a great florist in DC?
I need to send a mess of flowers to Elizabeth Warren's office. I suspect that there are interesting issues to deal with when sending flowers to Congress and it would be good to coordinate with a local outfit.
Thanks!

1. We've used Lee's for years,
in the U-Street corridor.

2. Amazing. Thanks!
Have you used them to deliver to someone in Congress?
And/or do you have any feel as to whether that might present a problem? Thanks again! - Manny |

3. Haven't done that,
and don't know what it would take.
Recall us/Dems sending flowers to Nancy P? Don't know of problems for security reasons. Ask Lee's themselves? |

5. Call her staffers.
You want the number?
On edit: Trust me, elleng knows her stuff. But I'd still call staff, as they would have a pre-approved list of delivery vendors for food, gifts, etc. ![]() |

7. I have my best luck with local offices, actually...
They are more likely to answer, then explain your question:
District Offices: Boston: 617-565-3170 Springfield: 413-788-2690 Or try direct: DC Phone: 202-224-4543 Nothing you don't already have. I'm in California so don't have the same inside contacts that I do for my reps here. Thanks for all you do to fight the power, Manny. |

9. Warren's got an office a few blocks away
Maybe I'll take a stroll tomorrow... it should be fun!
Great idea, thanks! Let's all win. We will, if we try! ![]() |

8. Very difficult to deliver to the Capitol
You have to have a staff member come out and pick the flowers up. Deliveries go to an off site screening facility and the flowers would be dead long before getting to the office

10. Fantastic! The voice of experience!
Good to know. I'm a constituant and her biggest fan, so I might have a shot at arranging something.
Thanks! |
