I am shaken & saddened as I like others thought Marion Barry was invincible. We were dear friends and there for each other over the years. Marion personified DC and his passing is a great loss to all of us, especially those most in need whom he served so well. He loved DC and us. In spite of his foibles and having run against him, I loved and appreciated Marion Barry Jr. and will miss him greatly.

1. Glad to see Carol writing about Barry's passing, what a longtime figure for DC.

Always liked her, met once at event for new mayor Tony Williams, so positive & personable.
Have to remember to check this DC group- see you do most links which is great.
Oui, oui we need to stick together! And keep up with PBS, etc. Watching Peter, Paul & Mary 50th Anniv. show. Niece on the road back to W&M tonite, freshman yr. Our old school, lovely campus & small town especially for a girl in these times. Chat soon!
