Florida election officials hunt for snowbirds, others who voted twice in 2020 election: 'We are not

Florida election officials are hunting for snowbird voter fraud in the 2020 election, combing through records to uncover people who cast ballots in multiple states.

So far three residents of the sprawling Villages retirement community have been charged with voting more than once in last year’s presidential election. Lake County has turned over another six possible cases to state prosecutors for further investigation, and Osceola County flagged seven problematic votes.

Voter fraud is rare, and the tiny number of potentially fraudulent votes out of the more than 10 million cast in Florida wouldn’t have changed the results.

I don’t think there’s been any instances of people casting invalid votes to make money. Why would they risk going to jail?

they've been told by their idols that huge numbers of libs are doing it all the time. They think they need to increase the votes on their side to help counterbalance all the fraudulent votes they think the libs are casting.

Since they think voter fraud is easy to get away with, they can't imagine they might get caught and risk prison.

I'm a fifth-generation Floridian. Grew up hearing stories about how the winter residents would brag about coming south to their FL winter homes in October. They would laugh about voting here while also mailing absentee ballots to their northern "home" states. It was a common subject of conversation before stricter voting laws in Florida were enacted.
