Good ole boy compromise on the Orlando Expressway Authority?

They know they'll get criticized for hiring Precourt since he isn't qualified, but is the political insider, so their solution is to hire him along with the qualified candidate. My take.

Orlando Expressway Authority to hire two new leaders instead of one?
Orlando's expressway authority chairman has come up with a compromise in the search for a new director: Hire two candidates instead of one.

"It's a solution. I'd like to talk to these guys and see how they feel about it," said Walter Ketcham, chairman of the Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority.

Ketcham's proposal most likely would affect two of the four finalists: former expressway operations director Jorge Figueredo and state Rep. Steve Precourt, R-Orlando.

The two are considered the frontrunners, with Figueredo the only one with experience running a toll road agency. He was in charge of the North Texas Tollway Authority for 18 months after leaving Orlando and now is an executive with Atkins, a transportation consulting firm.
