Thanks for the $$ Florida. Citrus Canker Settlement.

Surprise this morning when I got a check for 400+$$ for having my citrus trees destroyed like 20 years back.

Moved out of Florida in 2008 but they had no problem finding me.

The once great state of Florida, home of Lawton Chiles and Bob Graham is still good for something I guess.

Oh and our trees were nothing awesome.
I really wasn’t upset with the original compensation. I think it was a gift card and you could go pick up trees.

It was went how they screwed all the private owners to protect the commercial growers that smelled.
I guess that’s what won the case.
Didn’t know anyone still cared after all this time.
