Precourt takes engineering job after nixing Expressway Authority post
Former state Rep. Steve Precourt Tuesday announced he has become a partner at the Ghyabi & Associates engineering firm -- little more than two weeks after he turned down a job at Orlando's main toll road agency.
Precourt will open an Orlando office for the firm, which is based in Jacksonville and Ormond Beach and is owned by Maryam Ghyabi.
The firm, according to its website, does not have any contracts with the Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority. Its clients include the Florida Department of Transportation and Orange, Volusia and Duval counties, its website said.
"I'm extremely excited about this opportunity to join with one of Central and North Florida's leading up and coming engineering firms," said a statement attributed to Precourt.
