Plane crash leaves two dead

First the father died. Another report, to which I couldn't find a link, now says the daughter has also died.

I grew up there, thats a pretty desolate stretch of beach. 1/2 mile to the north and there would have been sun-bathers and beachcombers all over. The father and daughter likely never heard the plane, even if the engine had been running. And its possible the pilot didn't see them until the last second. It appears he was trying to land at the waters edge, where the sand is packed harder. Both pilot and his passenger pretty experienced, I heard. This seems to be just a tragic accident.

on the news. I have a lot of family living in the Venice, North Port and Englewood area and I've been on that stretch of beach many times,
So sad.
