Crist easily wins primary over Nan Rich, but......

Crist....622,980
Rich.....214,740
Total Dem votes....837,720

Scott.....834,395
others....117,618
Total Rep votes.....952,013

Rick Scott alone got almost more votes in the primary than Nan Rich and Charlie Crist combined.

I know it's just the primary and more people will come out for the general, but Scott was virtually unopposed, which to my way of thinking would have depressed the Republican turnout. Hope it's not an indicator of the what's to come in November.

Only thing I can see that might be of some good news is had Rich not run, then you could say Crist actually may have gotten more total votes than Scott alone.

Just a glimmer, but I can only wish. Too many Dems did what they did when Crist ran for Senator, voted for Meek who they knew could NEVER had won, gut said they would vote for ONLY a Dem. Heard some of the same crap this time around... Crist isn't REALLY a Dem.! They don't seem to understand that the bottom line is that SCOTT must GOOOOOOOOOO!

Florida Dems. just seem to ALWAYS screw it up! I'll still be voting for Crist and so will my family. Another day of anxiety and/or depression!

to the fact that most down-ballot dems were unopposed.

I hope I am right. Optimism, ya' know.

I voted for Nan Rich. Mainly because I think she is an actual "Democrat" and is a step up(or three) from Charlie.

In the General I will be voting for Christ but jeez, there is no backing from anyone in the Democratic Party leadership for

people that actually speak for working people.

I've been waiting at least three months now for response from D.W-Shultz, Aleathea Joiner, and Bill Nelson explaining what their

positions are on progressive issues. Nelson responded one time blah-blah-blahhing about the TPP but that's it. So, when all you

get are fund raising letters what is one to presume? That all they are interested in is the almighty dollar, for themselves.

will vote for Crist in the general. And yes, I too believe that many of our elected officials go into public service with the best of intentions and at least Democrats with a desire to make things better for their constituents. But before too long the reality of elected public service comes knock, knock, knocking at their doors. In today's climate with Citizens United, the Kock brothers it does become a game of chasing the almighty $$ and compromising their position to get reelected.
