Valencias announcement of a permanent vaginal probe ban did not impress the attorney handling the lawsuit for the two former students. The lawsuit seeks a court order forbidding the practice.
A ban is not a court order. The college is not bound by it; they could start it up again at any time, attorney Chris Dillingham said. He confirmed that the lawsuit will continue to seek a court order against the practice.
Four faculty members in the sonography program were part of the third-party investigation; three of those were named in the lawsuit.
All four of them, including Barbara Ball, program chair, are still employed at the college. Valencia declined to answer Sentinel questions about whether any of them were disciplined in connection with the allegations in the lawsuit.
