Plaza Live hosts first concert since killing of Christina Grimmie

On the eve of Christina Grimmie's funeral, concertgoers at The Plaza Live walked past a makeshift memorial to the singer, who was shot to death June 10 at the Orlando venue.

Thursday marked the first concert at the hall since Grimmie's killing, and patrons queued to be patted down by security guards, who also used metal-detecting wands. A police car was at the entrance.

The Orlando Police Department conducted a review of the Plaza's security procedures and protocols this week and pronounced them "thorough," said Sara Brady, spokeswoman for the Plaza. She declined to give more specifics.

"They advised us not to talk about security," Brady said.
