Democratic staffer goes 'Over the Edge'
It’s called Over the Edge, but everyone seems to think I’m Out of My Mind.
When I first heard that I had the opportunity to rappel off the 16-story DoubleTree hotel, I was only slightly disappointed that it wasn’t going to be off the 22-story Capitol building. One person’s fun is another person’s terror, I suppose.
It’s been nice in the days leading up to yesterday’s rappel, too. I heard a lot of well wishes and possible last good-byes from friends and family.
In the end, though, the purpose of this rappel is far more important than me getting to be Adventure Girl for an afternoon (or 15 minutes, as it turned out to be).
