Florida billboard calls the NRA a 'terrorist organization'

A political action committee has put up a new billboard in Pensacola, Florida, calling the National Rifle Association a "terrorist organization."

Mad Dog PAC, the group behind the billboard that simply reads "The NRA is a terrorist organization," is headed by Claude Taylor, a former staff member in Bill Clinton's White House.

"With the GOP majority in the House and in the Senate, the NRA makes impossible any meaningful, common-sense gun reform. That includes background checks and assault weapon bans," Taylor told the Pensacola News Journal.

Over in the upside-down known as Breitbart, the site also reported on this story and defended the NRA by arguing that mass shooters often pass background checks, so clearly nothing there's nothing to see here, folks.

terrorist organization. They don't seem to be open to any restrictions on guns (although I think the 2nd amendment is being too liberally translated to suit/fit the needs of the gun lobby.)

Ha! I never thought I'd use the word 'liberally' in conjunction with the gun lobby.

I understand the right to defend one's life and castle, but not-in-my-face. What about me and my rights to have a gun-free society around me and my loved ones? The last thing I want to see is someone strutting through the store where I'm shopping with a gun strapped on their hip, playing sheriff.

These guys obviously have too much testosterone. Let me ask one of these guys something...just realistically how many times in life will they actually, truly have to use a gun? Really truly? Just how thugs are going to break into my house or car in life? Maybe a chance of 1 in 300 million daily?

They need those guns to protect themselves against a tyrannical government. When they are hunkered down in their homes with their AR's and a tank pulls up in front of the door, they can slam a few bullets into it.
