Coronavirus antibody testing begins in Volusia County
Tests offered for free

...The tests, which are being issued by Florida Health Source, could possibly determine whether someone may have had C.OVID-19 antibodies.
Its a blood draw, not a finger prick. The blood draw has been proven to be more accurate than the finger prick, Rep. David Santiago said...
...Officials said the plan is to continue antibody testing at no cost for the next three weeks depending on public demand.
The fairgrounds will be open for testing during the weekdays except for Wednesdays, according to Santiago.

Okay so the test is administered in a country backwater. Why would a person from Orlando have to drive all the way to Deland to get tested at the fairgrounds of a different county? Why is it only open for four days a week, and only for three weeks? The governor says we'll see what kind of response the testing program gets? Looks like it's designed to fail.

(12,157 posts)1. Designed to fail, OK.
My concern is what does an positive antibody test tell us.
1. The person has been exposed to the novel coronavirus.
2. They may be actively infected and shedding the virus.
3. They may have recovered and are no longer infective to others.
4. If number 3. they may be immune from reinfection.
5. Or number 3. and the can be reinfected.
The anti-body test need to be done with an antigen test.

Starting new programs are not easy. Get the bugs out first before going to a city center.

about a half million. But they don't live in Deland.
