Iowa
Related: About this forumHa ha ha. Got a call from the National Republican Senatorial Committee last night.
I have the same name as a couple other people in town and one is a long time Republican. I often get mistaken for him and get solicitation calls from the other side. But this is a first. They called about my absentee ballot! Since I'm a registered D and already voted at the courthouse, I knew it was for the other guy.
Anyway, this nice recorded voice tells "me" that I am, "one of a few thousand Republicans in Iowa that have not sent in their absentee ballot".
Hmmm, just a few thousand left? If that's true (and not just hyperbole), then we are going to kick butt in early voting. We just need to keep it going on election day!
Please, please, please, Iowa come through one more time.
I can't stand the thought of Grassley AND King AND Ernst.

(35 posts)All 5 of my kids and my 2 grandkids live in King's district!!! Those of you who live in the 4th district, please vote for Mowrer! Yes, Iowans need to pull the lever for the Democratic Party. If King gets re-elected and Ernst gets elected, we will send the wrong message to the World! Neither of these two people represent the Iowa Values that they claim to have. I don't know where the rock that either one of these republican idiots climbed out from but we need to send them home! On a side note and I am being quite serious here, Is Joni Ernst stable enough to be in Office? Am I the only one who thinks that the reason she didn't sit down with all of the editorial boards of several Iowa newspapers is because she really isn't stable enough? Maybe a psych eval is in order. With her threatening to shoot people who disrespect her rights and she does have the means and has it all planned out, should we be sending her to Washington D.C.? I know a few Gulf War Vets who have said that they wonder if she is suffering from P.T.S.D. Just saying...

Especially if he is planning to step down and turn it over to his totally incompetent, ultra-right wing running mate.
