So I see where that no good stinkin' Grassley is running again

The Dems have to find someone somewhere to at least throw fear into him if not outright beat him. My suggestion, while possibly unpopular among a great deal of Dems, is Tom Vilsack. He stopped the Branstad machine and could possibly do the same with Grassley. If nothing else, he could give Grassley a real fight.
Grassley is really old and really right wing and really needs to go. So Vilsack for Senate. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

He's looking pretty frail lately. I can't imagine him doing well in a debate. progressoid Apr 2015 #2

I think Grass has a touch of Alzheimer's also. You seldom see or hear him on his own much anymore. He has said some strange things over the past few years.
And goodness knows, while the perception is one of Grass being a moderate, he is in reality one of the furthest right wing crazies. He is just basically under wraps by his staff

But then, I couldn't imagine Ernst getting elected either.

So, yeah, we need a strong candidate. Vilsack isn't my first choice, but if he can rid us of Chuckles, that's fine with me.

Someone who is committed to beating Senator Lawnmower. Someone who the party will actually support and not actually be trotted out as a sacrificial lamb.
