Martin O'Malley in Davenport Saturday

Saturday, May 30, Presidential candidate is doing a meet and greet at the UFCW hall, located at 2415 Central Park Avenue. The event is scheduled to begin at 2:45 PM. Think I'll go just to get a feel for the man. He seems like a good candidate. Of course my dead grandmother seems like a good candidate next to the repuke clown car.

I wanted to make it down to Maryland this weekend but we couldn't get out of a gallery launch on Friday. I'm guessing he's going to announce in MD then fly out to Iowa.

Would love your first hand impressions!

Bernie had the bigger crowd but Martin had more than a few party leaders or former leaders at his event. I must say that I thought the Bernie rally would be mostly college students but the ages ranged from 8-88. Good to see quite a few older adult there.

I must say Martin has some energy going for him. He didn't speak that long and then took questions from the audience. You don't get that from a candidate on his first day of campaigning for president.

I'm in NJ so we never get appearances by Presidential candidates from the Left. Obama did come here - but that's when we had a 50 state strategy.

We are too late in the Primary process to be heard.

I'm going to try to take some days off from work as O'Malley gears up for NH because it would be fun to be included in the process!

Thanks for the eyes and ears.

I had to care for my sick child and as a consequence, I could not attend. But as sure as I'm sitting here, he, Bernie, and Hillary will be back as this is Iowa's third largest city and borders Illinois as well. Every damn repuke has been here I think, and there is no doubt whatsoever that the "big three" in the Democratic race will be back here as well. In fact, I think it would be a good idea for Bernie to come around here on Labor Day weekend, Mississippi Valley Blues Fest will be going on.
