KENTUCKY
1. GET REGISTERED

Get registered to vote with your current name, at your current address, by 30 days before Election Day. To be registered to vote for the November 6th, 2012 general election, you need to register no later than October 9th, 2012.

2. WHAT TO BRING

Make sure your bring one of the following forms of identification:
• Driver’s license,
• Social Security card,
• Credit card, or
• Another form of ID containing both picture and signature.
• If the precinct officer can and will identify you as a personal acquaintance, you
will not require additional identification.

3. VOTE!
Election Day is November 6th, 2012. Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.

ABSENTEE VOTING:
You may be eligible to vote absentee if you’re a member of the armed forces, a senior citizen, at school working outside your home country, or if you meet certain other criteria. If you’re eligible to vote absentee, you can request an absentee ballot application from your county clerk's office in person, by mail, by phone, or by fax. The deadline for applying for a mailed absentee ballot is seven days before an election.

You must fulfill one of these qualifications in order to request a mailed absentee ballot.
You can check your eligibility and request your ballot by contacting your County Clerk.
