Oak Grove library to shut down
Will become Colleen R. Ochs Computer LabWhat was once a part of the “best kept secret in Oak Grove” is no more.
In keeping with his analytical approach to the Oak Grove Community Center, Director Tony Koch has decided to shut down the Colleen R. Ochs Municipal Library.
“Due to a lack of use — four to seven (people) a week is all that’s using it — we’re going to turn it into a computer lab,” Koch said.
The library, the director said, had become a glorified “Blockbuster,” with the majority of its patrons using it as a DVD rental service. Since the city decided it did not want to use the center to rent DVDs, its use has declined dramatically.
