Medical marijuana cleared for Louisiana patients; hits pharmacies Tuesday
Louisiana Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain announced late Thursday his agency has cleared the first batch of medical marijuana products to be released to pharmacies for patients.
Strain said the random samples taken from the LSU AgCenter and its private grower GB Sciences passed all of the tests.
We are pleased to announce that LSU-GBSL's final medical marijuana product has passed all testing and is cleared for immediate release to the medical marijuana pharmacies, Strain said. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with LSU-GBSL and (Southern AgCenter and its grower) as we move into the next phase of the program.
