Child left behind by Maine burglars
Police looking for couple accused of stealing from Maine camp, leaving child behindThe Oxford County Sheriff's Office is looking for two people who are accused of stealing from a camp and leaving a child behind. Deputies say a camp owner on Bisbee Town Road in Waterford confronted a suspect trying to steal a catalytic converter from his property.
The man took off, but an abandoned car was found nearby with an 11-year-old girl inside. Police say she's fine.
The girl was traveling with her stepfather, 41-year-old Brice Gammon, and her mother, 33-year-old Bridgette Clough, according to police. The couple is from Bethel, ME.
Police are searching for Gammon and Clough.
