I don't understand Mr. Libby and Mr. Udall's responses. What MSHA did or did not do has no bearing on whether or not Mr. Poliquin has violated the law. I certainly understand why they may be perturbed that Mr. Poliquin's own actions have been called into question and why they may suspect heightened scrutiny was applied because of his attacks on MSHA, but Mr. Poliquin opened himself up to these allegations and should not be surprised at them. The old saying often holds true, "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." If he did not violate the law (Constitution, no less), then there's no problem. If he did, then he needs to be held accountable.

state treasuer Poliquin appears to think he is above the law;he openly admits he knew the rule existed that he have no business dealings while holding this office; if he didn't want to let go of these duties he should have refused the job of state treasuer! that rule is in place to protect the taxpayer! as you can see laws are written for the poor,the rich and the wingbats can comply or ignore as they often do!
there should be no long drawn out battle over this-he admitted he knew about the law -and he continued to ignore it-he should resign or be forced to resign today!
