(14,449 posts)I am in Annapolis and it has been raining all day long with not one time stopping. It is totally ugly outside. If we were getting snow, we would not be going to work tomorrow for sure. Yep that is how much rain we have had. Supposedly per weather report, we are to have nice weather through the week and then rain again next Friday, Saturday and Sunday how lucky for us/sarc. Can we just have a nice weekend for a change?

(130,754 posts)so instead, heading to southern MD tomorrow, likely be there until rain or whatever later in the week.
Had rained here, SilSpg, all day too, and then I noticed the white stuff!!! It's ended now, thank goodness!
We got some of that out in the Rockies too...
about 20 inches in the last 24 hrs. Had to use ski poles just to walk the dog, who was in up to her neck. Ski poles 'cuz if I fell over, I wouldn't be able to get back up!

(130,754 posts)we lovingly refer to it as "Springtime in the Rockies"
I know it's not really normal for you in your area, so if it makes you feel better, go on, complain. I don't mind, really.
PS, it's still coming down, got another four inches since I posted the comment earlier today.

(130,754 posts)for about 10 months, but don't recall Springtime. Have to do some more remembering!
What I DO recall is that 'cold' feels colder here, close to the Atlantic; humidity DOES that. Y'all have more dramatic changes in temperature each day due to lack of humidity, and are likely to be more comfortable than we are with our moist COLD.
And the snow that fell here today, less than 1 inch I think, tho not a dramatic amount, is likely to stay around longer than it would if it were less humid here.
I spent the majority of my childhood along the coast of New England, I know what you mean about the humidity.

(25,908 posts)I got mine last night: 4-1/2", although it's disappearing today and will be gone entirely tomorrow. Here's hoping spring arrives in your locale soon. We've had enough of winter!

(64,931 posts)beat Ohio State. I only saw the game against Stanford on TV, didn't see the other ones.
What's funny is that even coming back to Ohio, I had no real loyalty to Dayton. I had only been through Dayton on I-75, a handful of times, so there is no connection to Dayton for me.
I went to school about 80 miles north of Dayton, which has a very fine engineering school, which I graduated from, and also a very good liberal arts program which my Dad taught at for 35 years! Yes. I am a bit biased!! The Ohio Northern University.

(130,754 posts)Husband grew up there, and went to Cinti Law School, but when we were dating and after, we'd spend Christmas at his mother's home and then his sister's. So now nieces and nephews are there, and a nephew in law went to UD Law, and practices there.
His sister attended UD, and our daughter interviewed there.
I attended Miami U, 'out of the blue!'

(9,791 posts)There's a light coating of snow on the ground in NE PA Poconos. The trees are iced up too. I've really had enough of this.

(22,845 posts)This has been the worst March I can remember, in one of the worst winters I can remember.
WHEN are we going to see the sun again?
