Smoke billows over harbor from 3-alarm fire at Domino Sugar.

Thick black smoke billowed Tuesday afternoon from a fire at the Domino Sugar plant in Locust Point, SkyTeam 11 reported.

Fire officials said firefighters were called shortly after 3 p.m. to Domino Sugar, where heavy fire and smoke came through the roof of a structure. Once firefighters got inside, fire was showing from a silo that collapsed. The fire made its way onto a conveyor belt and traveled midway through the building.

Firefighters were told to evacuate the building, and officials called for three alarms.

All employees evacuated on their own and were accounted. No injuries were reported.

American Sugar Refining Inc. released a statement, saying: "A fire in the raw sugar shed of the Baltimore refinery was reported at approximately 3 p.m. on Tuesday. The Baltimore City Fire Department was immediately contacted and the refinery was evacuated. All employees are accounted for and no injuries occurred. The refinery is currently not operating and the fire department remains on the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation."

The Baltimore Fire Department's fire boat helped tackle the fire with additional water supply.

I just recall something was going to happen to it, but I’m not sure what.
